The goal was to make animated stings for film and corporations, but then I moved into cartoon animation and working towards seeking a position with Hanna Barbera in Hollywood, doing Ink and Paint. By the time I was ready with my skills, Hanna had already shut down and moved production out of the country as did most animation studios at that time.
Moving to Seattle, instead of Hollywood, a friend told me about a position at Cygnet Systems Corporation doing computer graphics and animation. After the company dissolved, (it was in the time of software startups). I continued exploring different genre's of media and aquired a position at Laser Fantasy doing laser animation for numerous projects.
Still interested in continuing my work with cel animation and ink and paint I found a position with Terry Tennesen at Tennesesn Ani-Works, which gave me the opportunity to be a part of all animation departments. Learning not only ink and paint but also in-betweening, track reading and film editing on commercials and corporate films.
By 1995, Terry had moved from film to computer animation and doing titles for video game companies and Terry called me and asked if I would assist as an in-betweener and inker for the digitizers to scan. I continued to explore both computer art and animation until 2000, when I started designing web sites and using Flash to animate.
Now with HTML 5 in the works, I started researching what code will do for animation in future browser technology.
